Easter

Well 40 days has come and went. It was good. I gained a lot of weight. Ate a lot of chocolate.
Chocolate free once again. We shall see what happens for next year.

Lots and lots

The bad thing about chocolate is the good stuff is really good and requires little more. The bad chocolate just keeps being eaten. Dark M&M's oh so good. Can not stop.

Just a few more days to go.

Whoppers

The Robin Egg Whopper is awesome. Highly Recommended.
I love Whoppers at the movies.

Cap Chuc Choc Froz Yog

Several years ago this was featured flavor. I wrote and petitioned Braums to make it a full time flavor treat. Best served as a malt. The chocolate chunks go down to the bottom and make for a wondrous treat at the bottom of the cup. May be wise not to buy and take it home as the whole carton will be gone in a sitting.

Chocolate Smith

We were so busy over Spring Break I did not get my the shop but did find some Chocolate Smith at the coffee shop on the way out of Santa Fe. Awesome. Deep rich chocolate. Smooth and easy to eat. Pictacho and Green Chile chocolate treat. Oh so good.

Blue Bell

Ray brought me some Ice Cream made by Blue Bell. Good stuff. Creamy and rich. I could and will eat a whole carton in one sitting if allowed.
The Mocha Madness was tasty. Not quite enough coffee flavor for me. The nuts are salted which adds an interesting flavor especially with the caramel swirl.
The Chocolate Extreme is outstanding. Great flavor. The chocolate chips filled with Peanut Butter is a treat. The fudge swirl gives the mix a wonderful texture. Highly recommended!

Taza

Maybe it is the stone grind of the cacao bean. Maybe it is the cook. maybe it is the ingredients. This is wow good. Purchased at Fast Forward Foods in Norman this two disk chocolate treat hits the spot.

Winans Chocolates

from Norman, OK. Winans is an Ohio based company making fine chocolate. The meltaway was smooth and creamy. hard shell and lucious interior. Great flavor with a fruity finish.

Mclarens pantry

Driving by 33rd and Blvd in Edmond and my mouth started to water like the dog of Pavlov. I just had to stop for perhaps the best no bake cookie of all time. McLaren's Pantry is wonderful.

Promised Land Dairy

Chocolate Milk. Rich, Creamy. Lovely. Instead of a using a cup I just drank the whole bottle.

Prairie Thunder

The Double Chocolate Brownie. This is the way a brownie was meant to be. slightly crisp and flaky outside, moist and tender and gooy inside. Wonderful flavor. Full body. nice melt and slightly grainy.

Michael Cluzial

Single origin chocolate from Michael Cluzial. Smooth and easy. nice shell filled with a creamy goodness. Lingers. Slow melt in the mouth with no bitterness or harsh flavor. Highly recommend this treat from the 42nd Street Candy Company.

Market C Brownie

This was a taste treat. Can't stop eating once begun until it was totally gone and nary a crumb left. Nice carmel inner layer that slips down over the lip with a bite so be careful if no one around to clean up after you. Super duper. Drop by market c if you get the chance. They have some unique items togo.

Red Velvet Cake

We had a birthday cake from Red Velvet. What goodness comes from this place. Wow. Highly recommend it if you have a celebration requiring a cake or other sweet goodness.

The Wedge

This is the first time I have really gotten to enjoy the Gelatto at the Wedge. Carmel, very nice. full of flavor and body. Good Carmel with lucious undertones. and Double Chocolate Dutch. Woot, this was tasty and rich and little chocolate chips. Not as good as the carmel tho.

Vosges - Matcha Bar

What a delightful treat. Milk chocolate is a bit not rich enough for my tastes but paired here with the green tea it is light and refreshing. A nice bar with a clean smooth melt. The tea embodies the whole of the experience from the beginning. Nice size to not be overwelmed.

Chocolate Tuxedo Cake

Mighty taste treat. The cake layer on the bottom was a bit too refridgerated but the top layers were goodness. Reminder of why I used to be in size 40 britches instead of the now size 36.

Michel Cluizel

This is a Madagascar origin chocolate. Wow.

The bar is firm and clean. breaks well but at an angle as there are no score lines. It is rich and full of body and flavor. Nice bite with the teeth and the first I ate fully too quickly. Letting it linger on the tounge a nice slow melt. Coating fully and rich and developed well as it melted. Heady.

This bar came from the 42nd st. candy co. in OKC. They do have the best selection of chocolates I have seen in town. Still need to get over to Atelier tho.

From 42nd St Candy Co

Reese's Peanut Butter Egg

I had forgotten the creamy goodness that is the Reese's. That phenomena of craving is huge.

Theo 3400 Phinney

Available at the health center on classen
Review to follow. I visited Seattle over Spring Break about two years ago now. I was in the Theo's showroom and factory and at the time not eating Chocolate. How wonderful to have the opportunity to now partake.

The date on the bar is past recommend goodness. I am not sure how that will effect the bar but assume negative effects.
The phinney is crisp. it breaks cleanly and is slightly hard requiring slightly more bite with the teeth then I would prefer.
It melts well and seems to take longer to achieve melt in the mouth. Good flavor and smooth. Slightly grainy and the added nibs give a nice texture to the chocolate. The nibs are quite tasty too once the chocolate has been absorbed.
All and all a very nice treat. A fresher bar would be interesting to try. The store is ordering more. Probably two weeks until arrival.

Coco Flow

Purchased, Not yet partook. Review soon. I was a little disappointed with selection. Thinking Valentines wore them out.

Dusted with cocoa the outer surface is bitter and grainy. That translates all the way down. The inner chocolate is smooth with a fine fine grain. Rich and mostly creamy. Nice finish but the bitterness does not go away and the aftertaste of the cocoa coating is what stays instead of the delightful inner.

Brownie Batter at Braums

This was a treat. Smooth and easy chocolate ice cream with brownie batter swirl. Nice flavor. Smooth finish and easy to eat except for the mustache. Mustache gets in the way.

Lindt Excellence Chili

Wonderful smell. Rich and full.

Flavor is smooth. easy melt on the tounge. Hint of chili after the melt. Dark goodness. Creamy and smooth. No grains or rough edges. Easy bite too, does not crumble.

Chili builds after eating. Palate retains the chili more the chocolate. Breathing produces continued flavor enhancement.

Lindt for Lent

The 40 Days of Chocolate

It is time for Lent. Three years ago for Lent I gave up Chocolate. This year I am giving up the giving up of Chocolate. So for the next 40 days I am going to partake in Chocolate. I plan on blogging about my experiences and provide reviews of the Chocolate which I will consume.
